The Granger High School Lancer Action Team hosted a blood drive with ARUP Blood Services Blood Drive on January 23, 2024.
The Lancer Action Team put in a lot of time and hard work to get 85 people to come to the blood drive. The blood drive helped to collect 64 usable units of blood that became as many as 192 separate blood products ready for patient use. “This a huge blood drive, that will benefit so many lives,” says Rob Fox, ARUP Blood Services Community Relations Representative. He added, “Granger High has so much potential for future blood drives.”
ARUP Blood Services is the sole blood provider for the Huntsman Cancer Hospital and the University of Utah hospitals and clinics. The blood collected at Granger High School has been helping to save patient lives at these hospitals since January 25th.
ARUP has expressed thanks and appreciation to the Lancer Action Team for their time and service and looks forward to working with them again on their next blood drive at Granger High School.
