A handful of students and teachers from Mill Creek Elementary have been traveling around the Salt Lake Valley presenting biome murals at different art symposiums, legislator luncheons, and USBE board meetings.
At first glance the murals seem like fairly typical projects for an elementary science lesson. But these art pieces – each displaying a different environment of Utah – are more than just something nice to look at. They represent a collaboration between blind and sighted students in which both groups could experience the creative process.
