Governor Gary Herbert and state superintendent Syd Dickson have announced that public schools in Utah will extend the student dismissal through the end of the school year.
This means students will not be returning to school until at least the fall for the 2020-2021 school year. The district is exploring alternatives for graduation ceremonies with input from high school seniors.
Distance learning will continue through the end of the school year.
Additional information will be communicated to parents, students and staff in the coming days and weeks.
