First Reading
The board approved a first reading of VIII.A.33 – Teacher Licensing Policy as presented by Doug Larson, director of Policy & Legal Services.
Action Items
The board approved the Kennedy Jr. High Network grade reconfiguration proposal. This action will move 6th grade to Kennedy Jr. High, making Academy Park Elementary, Hunter Elementary, Jackling Elementary, and Silver Hills Elementary K-5 schools beginning the 2021-2022 school year.
The board approved the Kearns Network grade reconfiguration proposal. This action moves 6th grade to Kearns Jr. High and Jefferson Jr. High, making all elementary schools in the network K-5 schools (Fox Hills, David Gourley, Bacchus, Western Hills, West Kearns, South Kearns, Jim Bridger, Beehive, and Diamond Ridge) beginning the 2021-2022 school year.
The board approved the Taylorsville Network grade reconfiguration proposal. This action makes Taylorsville High School a 9-12 school, Bennion and Eisenhower junior high 6-8 schools, and all elementary schools K-5 schools (Arcadia, Bennion, Calvin Smith, Truman, Fremont, Plymouth, Vista, Taylorsville) beginning the 2021-2022 school year.
The board approved a resolution providing for the issuance of General Obligation Bonds, Series 2020.
