Three Granite School District educators were honored by the Sorenson Legacy Foundation for “embracing the arts with excellence in the practice.” They are among 23 awardees statewide who were recognized for both 2020 and 2021.
- Noemí Hernández-Balcázar (Curriculum & Instruction) – Exemplary Arts Education Administration
- Deborah Kesner-Steinberg (Eisenhower Jr High) – Secondary Dance Instruction
- Leah Tarrant (Taylorsville High School) – Secondary Music Instruction
Each recipient received an artistic award for display, along with a cash award of $2,500, with an additional $2,500 awarded to the recipient’s school/district for the purpose of supporting the arts program. Congratulations!
