For Thanksgiving, Valley Junior High was given a rare opportunity. Utah Jazz Star Jordan Clarkson, and his “JC Cares Foundation” gifted 200 turkeys with all the fixings (pies, dinner rolls, cranberry sauce, etc.) to families in need.
Students and families were in awe when they arrived to pick up their Thanksgiving items as they didn’t know that Clarkson would be there.
“Our kids just love anything that’s going to help them succeed in life and that includes meals — unfortunately sometimes our kids go hungry,” Valley Junior High Principal Mandy Chapple said. “No family should go hungry on Thanksgiving and we’re grateful that Jordan and his foundation were able to help us with that.”
The JC Cares Foundation hosts many, philanthropic initiatives annually to provide assistance to communities in need. By accepting social responsibility and accountability, Jordan aims to better communities and enable underprivileged youth to envision a brighter tomorrow.
