Three teachers in the Granite School district have been selected for Hope Street Group Utah Teacher Fellows. The Teacher Fellow program is an nonpartisan nonprofit extracurricular professional learning experience designed to help develop teacher leaders. 

After a very rigorous and competitive selection process, the Granite district’s teachers selected to be part of the 2023-2025 cohort were:

• Sam Noyce at Thomas Jefferson Jr. High
• Cheryl Jindeel at Granger High
• Sean Thorpe at Redwood Elementary 

The Teacher Fellows provides a group of diverse educators with skills around peer and community engagement, tools to facilitate focus groups, and communication strategies while giving them opportunities to amplify teacher voice with the belief that students’ education and long term trajectory is improved when instructors inform education policy.
