Rose Jakub, a Title VI Native American outreach worker and mentor, was presented with an Educator Award from Granite Credit Union last week. Rose is a Native American Elder from the Navajo Nation and has been with Granite School District for 20 years. Through all those years of service and dedication Rose has taught students about their culture and assists them with academic and social development. At the elementary level, she is dedicated to teaching children how to read and connects with them in ways that allows our children to succeed. As a Native elder, she is well respected and loved by the community. She is an advocate for our students and families and the backbone of the Title VI program in the Educational Equity department.
Thanks for all you do, Rose! We’re grateful to have you part of the Granite School District team!
