Walking into the front of Stansbury Elementary, we marveled at was before us, a huge Dia De Los Muertos presentation, right at the front of the school. Turns out, our Thank You Thursday winner Iliana Gomez put in a bunch of time to make this happen for Stansbury. Check out the 3rd picture to see Iliana’s work!

Here is Principal Trujillo’s nomination of Iliana:

“Iliana is a dynamic, caring, driven and passionate 3rd grade DLI Spanish teacher. She sets and maintains high expectations in and out of the classroom for her students. She also is highly community driven. Iliana advocates for our school, our community, and our students and builds partnerships with local businesses to support our goals and vision at Stansbury. She truly believes in family engagement and the positivity that brings to a child’s education.”
