Sandra Hemmert, CTE Coordinator, was recently honored as the recipient of the 1st Annual Award of Excellence for the Utah Manufacturing Association Foundation.
While presenting Hemmert with the award, UMA Senior Director of Workforce Development Megan Ware, shared these thoughts:

Sandra Hemmert, CTE Coordinator for Granite School District, has been in education for a remarkable 45 years. She works tirelessly to bring awareness to the education system, the needs, and opportunities of industry, while building relationships between industry and education to prepare students to take advantage of opportunities. Sandi is instrumental in moving the needle in education to make sure ALL students have opportunities to expand and change their lives for the better. She has contributed to education, industry, and local community and has been a pioneer in establishing programs that benefit all stakeholders. “
