Administration Reports
Dr. Dave Gatti, director of Transportation, presented information on a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency for electric and clean fuel school buses.
Don Adams, assistant superintendent of Support Services, and Justin Naegle, director of Architecture, Engineering & Construction, presented an update on capital and construction projects in the district.
Tax Hearing
Brian Ipson, director of Budget Development, gave the 2022 tax hearing presentation to the board. Following the presentation the board opened the meeting to public comment. Following public comment time the board voted to adopt the 2022-2023 budget as published and set the tax rate to be 0.006311.
Property owners who think the property valuation on their tax notice is higher than what it should be may appeal to the county Board of Equalization through the county property tax website. The deadline for appeals is September 15, 2022. Tax relief programs applications are available on the Salt Lake County Treasurer website.

The board approved a first reading of Article X.B.2 – Work-Based Learning as presented by Doug Larson, director of Policy & Legal Services.
Second Readings
The board approved second readings of: Article IX.A.3.g. Vacancies, Transfers, and Promotions; Article IX.A.1.b. Drugs, Alcohol, and Tobacco; Article IX.A.1.c. Employment and Supervision of Relatives.
Following reports, the board adjourned into an executive session.
