This summer we say goodbye to many wonderful members of our team, but also welcome new faces into the Educational Technology department.
Team Leaders
We lose two of our Educational Technology team leaders at the close of the 2016-17 year. After many years of service, Larry Hudgins leaves us for retirement, while Kristen Johnson takes on a new adventure back in the classroom, teaching science at Wasatch Jr. High.
We welcome two new team leaders, Pam Moeai and Jennifer Peirce. Pam was previously an elementary school technology specialist and ETEP trainer, while Jennifer was previously the LMETS at Kearns High School. We are excited to work with them in the next school year.
STSs and LMETSs
School technology specialist Debra Springer retired at the close of this school year, and we thank her for many years of service. Margaret Tanner and Kareena Steed Vance also leave our department and Granite this year to pursue other interests and opportunities. We will miss them.
Joining our team as new elementary school technology specialists this year are Anastasia Limantzakis, Kacie O’Maley, and Tiffany Peoples. Anastasia comes to us having just taught 2nd grade students at Eastwood Elementary, while Kacie previously taught 3rd graders at Armstrong Academy and Tiffany taught 6th grade at Taylorsville Elementary.
We also welcome Aimee Duran as the new Library Media Educational Technology Specialist at Kearns High School, where she previously taught English.
