Are you a teacher just getting started with using Chromebooks in your classroom? Are you a parent or student curious about how Chromebooks and Google Apps work in education? The Granite Educational Technology department has just published the Chromebook Basics and G Suite Online Training with a new site and updated content.
The Chromebook Basics and Google Docs modules are up and ready for immediate teacher participation, with more optional modules on Google Apps to be published throughout the school year.
These training resources are geared specifically toward teachers in Granite School District, who can earn 2 licensure points for successfully completing the Chromebook Basics Online Module. However, anyone who is interested could click through the modules to learn more about how Chromebooks and Google Apps work in the Granite classroom environment. Since Google tools are cloud-based and can be accessed from virtually any PC or device at school or home, these modules can still be helpful for teachers and students who do not have frequent access to Chromebooks.
Training modules created by Teresa Bruin, District Educational Technology Specialist. This post originally appeared in our October 2017 Ed. Tech. Monthly Newsletter for Teachers.
