4th Grade Math & Bit the Ozobot
Melissa White, School Technology Specialist at Oakridge Elementary, recently created this video of an innovative learning activity she shared with 4th grade students. Watch above to see how students worked together to program Ozobots and practice their multiplication skills.
Below is a transcript of the video.
4th Grade Math & Bit the Ozobot
Oakridge Elementary, 2018How can we integrate technology to drive student engagement and reinforce 4th grade standards?
Each team was given a blank sheet with 9 squares.
They had to write a multiplication problem in each square.
Now comes the tricky part! Each team had to create a path of correct answers.
In order to find the correct path, students from another team had to evaluate each of the answers to locate the correct ones.
Once they found the correct path it was time for Bit to take the journey!
These tiny bots allowed students to communicate, problem solve and address time management issues, all with the added bonus of practicing multiplication.
How many worksheets do you know that can do that?
