Suzy Gaeta: Lifelong Learner
Suzy teaches 3rd grade at Westbrook Elementary. Though many people think younger kids can’t do as much with technology, Suzy takes it all on with grace and fortitude. Though it is not always easy to get students to think deeper and produce better learning activities, Suzy makes it happen. Her students are well-versed in Google products and use them often. She is working on both her Ed. Tech. Endorsement and Library Media Endorsement simultaneously, and is consistently applying the things she is learning into her classroom instruction. She is using the technology she has been given as part of the Leadership in Blended and Digital Learning Grant Westbrook received this year as an opportunity to have her students become more proficient and better users and consumers of digital media. I enjoy going into her classroom to help support her ideas. She comes to me often with a new activity she wants to try that is innovative and helping our kids become 21st Century learners.
