This weekend (August 7-9, 2020) is the first ever Craft Lake City Virtual DIY Festival in Salt Lake City. Admission is free of charge.
Craft Lake City is a local non-profit organization that seeks to “educate, promote and inspire local artisans while elevating the creative culture of the Utah arts community through science, technology and art.” For over a decade they have held an annual DIY festival in Salt Lake City. This year the festival continues virtually, hosted on an innovative platform where exhibitors have designed their own virtual spaces and attendees can interact with artisans and community exhibitors virtually while safely social distancing.
In addition to artisans displaying their wares there will be STEM activities, music performances, and much more. Of special note is Kid Row, happening on Saturday from 1-3 P.M. in which a selected group of makers and entrepreneurs under 14 years of age will exhibit their creations and wares.
