Zoom (https://zoom.us/) is a robust video conferencing web tool that has been made available with the licensed version for all Utah teachers through UETN. Below, you will find instructions for logging into your licensed account and learn more about Zoom and the incredible Breakout Rooms feature that is included in your licensed account.
Signing In With Your Licensed Full Feature Account
If you are a teacher who is not brand new to Granite and didn’t have a chance to click on the link in your email, didn’t get the link, it is expired, etc., do the following:
- Go to https://zoom.us/
- Choose Sign In
- Click Forgot? in the password field
- Enter your @graniteschools.org email address
- It should send you an email where you can sign in to a Zoom account and set a password.
If these steps don’t work, contact your LMETS or STS for assistance in setting up a Zoom account through Granite.
If you are a teacher who is new to Granite (started teaching after the school year started), do the following:
- Contact the STS or LMETS at your school, stating that you are new to Granite and need to be added to the Zoom license list. They will submit your request.
Zoom Breakout Rooms
Learn more about using Zoom and how the breakout rooms in your licensed version of Zoom work. Breakout rooms provide students and adult participants with spaces to collaborate in smaller groups where sharing in conversations and showing work is more manageable.
