When you need assistance with a technology problem, whether computer hardware, software, or audiovisual, you should submit a Technology Work Order. Your school’s STS or LMETS will respond to the work order and either resolve the problem or escalate the issue to a technician or engineer who can solve the problem.
There are several ways to access the technology work order system:
- Visit helpdesk.graniteschools.org from any web browser
- In the district +Portal+, click on the Technology Work Order tile under District Resources.
- Many STSs and LMETS have placed a link to the work order submission form on their web page or in their email signature.
Log in with your Active Directory credentials.
Scroll down through any notices of district outages to see whether they apply to your issue, then click on Submit New Work Order.
In the Case Details section, make sure to enter the correct location and room number and enter a detailed description of the problem or work being requested. It is helpful to complete the Associated Equipment section of the work order as well.
When you have completed all sections of the form, click on Submit Work Order.
You can return to the Help Desk website to check on the status of your work orders at any time.
In addition to the Work Order system, the Help Desk provides a noticeboard of current network issues and outages, as well as a useful library of Help Documents with instructions and troubleshooting tips for many district programs, software, and network issues.
If you are experiencing a critical technology issue and school technology staff are not currently available, you can also contact the Information Systems Help Desk by phone at 385-646-4524 or email helpdesk@graniteschools.org.
