Educational Technology Professional Development for Granite School District Teachers
The Granite School District Educational Technology Department is pleased to invite Granite educators to our Tech Tuesday Professional Development Courses.
1st Tuesday of the Month: eGrads
All Granite teachers who have received their Educational Technology Endorsement through eMINTS, TILT, or ETEP are invited to attend eGrad Tech Tuesdays on the first Tuesday of every month. These professional development sessions will provide the opportunity to keep up with newer tools and strategies in educational technology and with time to collaborate with other teachers who are interested in best practices for using technology in their classrooms.
3rd Tuesday of Each Month: Pick Five
All Granite educators looking to add to or improve their use of technology in the classroom are invited to attend any of our Pick Five sessions. Sessions include a variety of educational technology tools and strategies. Pick which five sessions to attend to receive one USBE credit!
4th Tuesday of Each Month: Makerspaces
Would you like to learn how to start or improve your classroom or school makerspace or even just learn more about what makerspaces are? This course will cover what makerspaces are and why you should use them, practical ways to start or improve a classroom or school makerspace, and tools and activities to consider including in a makerspace.
Participants can receive USBE credit for attending a required number of sessions per course and completing a portfolio assignment. Individual sessions can be attended to receive relicensure points.
To view course details and schedules and sign up for sessions, view the GSD Ed Tech Tuesday website: bit.ly/gsdedtechtuesdays. If you have any questions, please send them to Jenny Peirce (jlpeirce@graniteschools.org).
