Now Registering Students: Code to Success Summer 2019
Utah’s Code to Success program is once again being offered to students of Granite School District in June and July 2019. The program is open on a first-come, first-serve basis to those who will be entering grades 9-12 in the 2019-2020 academic year, and is free of charge.

Leadership in Blended and Digital Learning School Spotlight: Magna Elementary
Last week Magna Elementary hosted a site visit for the Leadership in Blended and Digital Learning cohort of elementary school principals and technology specialists. During this site visit principals were able to step into several classrooms to see first-hand how teachers are transforming their classrooms using blended and digital learning strategies. In addition to taking what they saw back to their own schools, some participants shared snapshots with us via social media posts that we will share below.

Leadership in Blended and Digital Learning School Spotlight: Lake Ridge Elementary
Elementary school principals and technology specialists from the Leadership in Blended and Digital Learning (LBDL) cohort recently visited Lake Ridge Elementary in Magna. TIP Cards Revised and Expanded for 2018-2019
Coming in September 2018, all teachers in Granite School District will receive an updated and expanded set of Technology Integration Progress (TIP) Cards!

These cards provide teachers with a handy collection of quick help guides for a range of classroom technology tools and digital resources, as well as tips and ideas for new ways of using these tools and resources with students. Short URLs on the cards link teachers to a full menu of tutorials and other resources. The Educational Technology department is currently accepting applications for the Transformational Technology Initiative in the 2018-2019 school year. Elementary school principals are invited to apply to participate in this grant program.

Our monthly #GSDEdTech Teacher Chat series continues in May with the topic #letthemlead: Empowering Students to Take the Lead. This chat will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 4 P.M via the #GSDEdTech hashtag on Twitter.
