Google Slides is a simple but powerful web-based presentation platform that allows you to create, edit, collaborate and present from virtually any computer or device. Slides is included as part of Google’s +G Suite for Education+ that all students and teachers have access to with their +Google for Education @granitesd.org Accounts+.
To access Google Slides, visit slides.google.com and log in with your +@granitesd.org credentials+.
From the home screen, you can create a new presentation, choose a template from the gallery, or access presentations you have already created.
- If you want to begin creating a new presentation immediately, you can visit slides.google.com/create to open a new, blank presentation.
- You can also access your existing Google Slides presentations or create new slides in +Google Drive+.
Once you have opened a presentation, you can add slides, change the theme, format text, and add images and videos to your presentation. Don’t be afraid to click around on icons and menu items to discover all your different formatting options.
As with other G Suite documents, you can share your presentation with others, giving edit rights to specific collaborators or view rights to students, audience members, or anyone in the world. Multiple users can edit or view the presentation simultaneously from any device or location.
