The Curriculum and Instruction Department assists teachers with the implementation of the Utah Core Standards. Our focus is to provide support of the Instructional Framework, including curriculum maps, benchmark assessments and professional development.

Educational Technology

The Educational Technology Department works to equip every teacher and student with technology and information literacy skills. Our focus is on teacher professional learning, school technical support, and student achievement. We strive to research and develop best practices with regards to educational technology and look to replicate those practices in all classrooms.
Information Systems

The Information Systems Department supports the administrative functions of the District. This includes business applications such as general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets and payroll/personnel. It also supports the administration of students records such as grades, attendance and enrollment.

Granite School District is committed to providing a free and equitable education to all students regardless of their circumstances. Our office manages LAND Trust funds and Title I funds to enhance student learning. We ensure enrollment and educational stability for homeless children and youth.

The Research & Evaluation Department’s goal is to provide credible Research & Evaluation to support school improvement and high quality program implementation. We support schools in reflecting on school quality assurance, school leadership teams and school-wide systems for student improvement and instruction, and we conduct evaluations to identify and replicate best practices.

The Student Assessment Department helps students increase learning and teachers improve instruction through the use of rigorous formative and summative assessments. Parents and the community are enriched through a better understanding of the achievements of students. We integrate cutting-edge technologies, instructional techniques and professional support to make assessment effective in our schools.
